CASE STUDY – GATEWAY COMMUNITY LEARNING PROJECT
During 2022 we worked with Surrey Care Trust on their Gateway Allotment Project at Earlswood in Surrey. During the summer we taught clients and volunteers carpentry and gardening skills on the allotment, whilst in winter we shared woodcraft and woodland coppicing skills in nearby Felland Copse.
This green social prescribing programme was funded by the Surrey Heartlands Nature Connection Fund. It successfully helped people with low level mental illness improve their physical, mental, emotional and social health and wellbeing.
